After filming in Bristol and Detroit Resident Advisor came to Berlin to show you how Techno and the Club scene devoloped since the wall came down. It´s interesting, even if you don´t like Techno.
For the third edition of Real Scenes, RA and Bench go to one of the most special places for electronic music in the world: Berlin. When the Berlin Wall came down in 1989, techno became the underground soundtrack to the reunion between East and West. In recent years, it’s become an international destination for ravers—a cheap place to party with clubs that are renowned throughout the world.
Techno has become a business in the meantime. Yet Berlin still maintains a credibility that other cities lack. To understand why, RA and Bench went to the German capital eager to find out about its unique history and the reasons behind its continued relevance.

Der sowieso schon sympathische Pharell trifft verschiedenste Menschen und fragt diese direkt wie sich das Leben nach dem Erdbeben und der Atomkatastrophe für sie verändert hat. Man bekommt einen guten Einblick in Tokyo´s Szene fernab aller Touristenführer. Tokyo ist meiner nach eine der interessantesten Städte und insgesamt sehr inspirierend.

Nachdem Aloe Blacc im Made Space (Alle sechs Videos hier + Making-Of) zusammen mit Miki und Jaybo eine Neukreation seiner Songs geschaffen hat, war im letzten Monat niemand anderes als die wunderbare Erykah Badu zu Gast. Seht hier sowohl eine Zusammenfassung des Projekts als auch die Rubrik “Visions of Visionaries”, in welcher Frau Badu über Kunst und kreative Prozesse spricht. Auf jeden Fall sehr inspirierend!

Die Fotos von dem Stussy x J Dilla T-Shirt in Kooperation mit Stones Throw sind schon seit einigen Tagen in den Blogs zu sehen. Zudem wurde eine 3-teilige Doku produziert mit Gästen wie Peanut Butter Wolf, DJ Rettmatic oder J.Rocc im ersten Teil. Die weiteren Parts folgen.
