Here comes the second video from Robot Koch´s new album “The Other Side”, which was released today! Check all informations and take a look at both videos and the snippet. This will be great!
“Berlin producer Robot Koch is back for his third full length release, “The Other Side”. Although Robot Koch has an international reputation as being „One of Europe`s finest producers of the beat generation“ (Low End Theory), he is much more than just a beatmaker… “(Post)-dubstep infused Electronic Hip Hop“ is far too constrained a label to understand what this producer is all about. Instead of following the sound of his previous albums “Death Star Droid” („Essential listening“ – Bobby Friction BBC) and “Songs For Trees and Cyborgs“ („Music for a modern age that has rarely sounded so good” – Boomkat), Koch takes the genre defying ingredients from these previous records to another level. There still are some of those “Galactic ten ton beats and space age melodies“ (Dazed and Confused) that made the previous albums staple drops in the playlists of Mary Anne Hobbes, Starkey, Daedelus and Gas Lamp Killer to name a few, but there is a new dimension to Koch`s production and songwriting that didn’t show on his previous records.”

Über dieses Video bin ich eher zufällig gestossen, denn Clams Casino war mir bis dato komplett unbekannt. Es handelt sich wohl um einen 23-jährigen Produzenten aus New Jersey, welcher vor kurzem ein free Instrumental Mixtape hier zum Download angeboten hat. Das Video zu “I´m God” ist ein Fan-Video von Feel Good Lost. Song + Video = Wow!

Am 19. und 20. März kommen im “Chez Jacki” (Maria am Ostbahnhof) direkt am Spreeufer sowohl ein paar der international erfolgreichsten und umtriebigsten Produzenten als auch junge, unbekannte Talente aus ganz Europa zusammen. Während am Samstag Nachmittag namhafte Produzenten Einblicke in ihre Produktionsweisen und -Techniken geben und im Rahmen von Praxissessions neue Produktionstools vorgestellt werden (u.A. Native Instruments mit Dj Rafik – mehrfacher DMC und ITF World Champion), ist das Abendprogramm an beiden Tagen mit exklusiven internationalen Acts besetzt.
Robot Koch, fLako, Blue Daisy, Comfort Fit und die beiden Flying Lotus Schützlingen Teebs und Jeremiah Jae repräsentieren wie niemand anderes die Zukunft von Hip Hop und haben einen neuen Sound geformt, der sowohl an 30 Jahre Hip Hop Tradition anknüpft als auch die abstrakten Strukturen elektronischer Musik mit der Deepness von Clubmusik verbindet. Sowohl Teebs, als auch Blue Daisy und Jeremiah Jae haben noch nie in Deutschland gespielt und sind exklusiv in Berlin für das “Finest Ego Weekend” zu Gast.
Zentraler Teil der Veranstaltung ist die “Beatmaker Challenge”, bei der junge Produzenten die Möglichkeit erhalten sowohl ihre Musik einem internationalem Live-Publikum zu präsentieren als auch neben Studioequipment von Native Instruments, Bekleidung und Kopfhörer von WeSC, Acrylick und Mishka einen Plattenvertrag mit Finest Ego Records und Project: Mooncircle zu gewinnen.

Sehr geiles Video zu “KILL YOUR CO-WORKERS” aus der aktuellen EP “Patterns+Grid World” von Flying Lotus. Die Animationen kommen von beeple, welcher auf seiner Seite die Cinema 4D Quell-Dateien des Videos anbietet! Jeder wird dazu eingeladen, selber kreativ ans Werk zu gehen und das Video im Flying Lotus Vimeo Kanal zu veröffentlichen. Sehr geil!
Diesen Freitag (22.10) ist Flying Lotus übrigens live in der Maria!
Das Video kreist zwar schon seit ein paar Tagen durch die Blogosphäre, aber es ist einfach zu gut, um es nicht auch hier zu bloggen.
Blockhead aus New York hat in der Vergangenheit Beats für Aesop Rock, Atmosphere, oder Murs produziert. Außerdem ist er Mitglied der Crew Party Fun Action Committee, welche 2003 auf DefJux ein HipHop/Comedy Album released haben.
“The Music Scene” ist der Titeltrack des bereits vierten Instrumental Album auf dem Label Ninja Tune. Das von A.F. Schepperd produzierte Video zeigt ein post-humanes New York, in welchem Fernseher und Tiere die Macht haben. Sehr geiles, abgedrehtes Video mit besten LSD Effekten!
